A friend of mind who is an Indigo Adult, has an Indigo Child.
Her son is a beam of light. The quintessential Indigo, high integrity, strong sense of purpose and mission, creative, enhanced intelligence, highly sensitive and intuitive, strong willed, is an “old soul,” independent, empathic, spiritual connected and is an extremely unique and special human being. Possessing eyes so clear as water from a running spring, radiating purity and innocence. It is evident he is connected to something higher outside of this realm.
As an Indigo coming in and onto the Earthly plane— it can be traumatizing and/or a shock upon entering this planet. A strong sense of justice and fairness Indigo’s carry— when they realize the material world is actually not this way, they become saddened and disheartened by this fact. They feel an imperative need to share their reality and how they see the world with the world— that in fact, heaven on Earth is very much possible and life would be so much easier and worthwhile if lived from a place of kindness and love.
Indigos have challenging times understanding why others live in chaos, anger and hate, because it is so easy for them to see the world from a place of love and understanding. It is their natural state. They believe love is every human being’s natural state, but sometimes as humans, we just simply forget or get sidetracked. Indigos have a tendency to be reclusive as their sensitivity levels, nervous system and senses are highly acute. This makes for them to be natural healers and intuits. The outside world can, at some points become overwhelming from density and overstimulation.
Indigos come into this world with a common mission and purpose. They posses a type of ferocity and fierce determination as it is needed for their role in building a new way, a new order— to break through all fragmented ideas and/or limiting beliefs in the already predisposed way and/or system. For Indigos, the way they operate and move through the world is simple, nuts and bolts, common sense. Spirit is a no-brainer for them. They have roaring hearts of a warrior that are both vulnerable and strong. Indigos are specifically here to raise the energetic vibration of the planet and create a more peaceful, loving humanity. They are usually born into life situations that require a long haul of a resilient fight to prepare them for the duration of their journey. They are committed to clearing their karma in this lifetime and welcome the purification process. They understand that life is one long purification. They walk willingly into the fire for they hold clarity in the highest of regards.
Indigos are very communicative if asked the right questions. They speak only when they know they are being listened to and heard. When they feel it is safe to fully express their needs and be completely themselves, they shine. It is important for Indigos to feel understood without judgment or criticism. It is absolutely necessary for Indigos to feel supported and held.
My friend’s son was crying the other day from overwhelming sensations of anger, sadness and frustration. She came over to him and said to him, “Hi honey, I see you, I understand, you’re an Indigo. Mommy’s an Indigo too.” These few simple words made him stop crying. Her child suddenly felt a sense of relief and nurturing that made him feel seen and understood. Understanding leads to compassion to then leads to peace.
Indigos and Lightworkers, I see you.
I understand your struggles and your battles. I understand what you have to go through on a daily basis. Navigating your way through the material world is a multifaceted dance with all different types of music. But c’mon, I know you love dancing. Life ain’t easy, but it sure is worth it. Being human is a f*cking psychedelic trip and I know Earth doesn’t feel quite like home to you. Your Heart is with Spirit, but it’s important to make being here a conscious choice. As soon as you come to terms with being in a human body, life gets more fun, playful and lighthearted. Since we’re here anyways, might as well really be here, right? Sure you’ve got work to do, but don’t let it burden your spirit. Be joyous in your service. Praise and celebrate!
When you feel like you want to quit, don’t give up. When you feel the wind trying to knock you down, sit on the Earth for a minute, gather your self, sharpen your tools and stand up when you’re ready to get back up again. Harness and cultivate your power. I know you’re tough and you’ve got it goin’ on solo style, but remember to reach out when you need that support. No matter how strong you are, we all need a place to rest, a shoulder or two or three to lean on. Walk towards wherever your heart is called and educate by way of demonstration. Drop truth to the youth, for they are the future.
Make sure you are taking care of yourself and all of your needs are being met. Only you can love yourself the way you need to be loved and taken care of. Surround yourself with people who love, understand and support you in your life’s work. Have a solid support system and inner circle, these people will uplift your spirits. When you get burnt out, rest. Refill and refuel your beautiful heart, plunge ever more deeply still, into the reservoir of you.
Do your spiritual practices with courage, humility, steadfast dedication, love and purity. Without arrogance, criticism, or competition— only spontaneous devotion. Keep your channel open. Pray. Ask for guidance and you will be shown the way. May all limitation and contraction on your Path be clear. Thank you for being here. Thank you making the world a brighter place.

Awakening to Life Through Truthful Relationships - Ram Dass
these are a few of my favorite things …
The question was asked, “What does it mean to be human?”
We were granted the greatest gifts of all:
and the capacity of wonder
At the threshold of this New Decade
let us turn again, it’s not too late,
and start at the beginning.
Honor all life in it’s variety,
Honor the soul in all it’s mystery
and build a new world in our mind.
A healthy world to live in for mankind,
and patiently accord the passage of all time,
it’s ever-richer harvest of support and inspiration.
Let us give
as would satisfy a thousand lives.

Healing like healing the Earth?
I was sweetly surprised by his response. I take the sweetest exhale. I wasn’t expecting to have such a moment over the telephone with the car insurance man. I love it when life surprises me.
Yeah, Randy. Exactly. Healing like healing the Earth.
I wonder to myself if he knows how much his simple and innocent question has affected me. We continue with our simultaneously amusing yet boring yet necessary dialogue and eventually hang up the phone.
